How to fix buffering and freezing
Most buffering comes from the connection between you and your provider. AREZTV gives you a few tools to find the cause and smooth out playback.
Pick the right buffer mode
Go to Settings › Playback › Buffer Mode. There are four modes:
| Automatic | Adjusts based on your internet |
|---|---|
| Low Latency | For Live TV, fast connection |
| Balanced | Suitable for most situations |
| High Stability | Slow connection, less interruptions |
If streams freeze often, choose High Stability. Playback starts a little later but is interrupted less.
Test your internet speed
In Settings, tap Internet Speed to measure your connection. If it is slow, move closer to the router, use a wired connection on the TV if you can, or pause other downloads.
Check the stream itself
When a stream does not play, the player shows its status and whether the connection to your provider works. If the provider connection fails, the problem is on the provider side, not your device. Try another channel to compare.
Too many devices at once
If the player shows Connection limit reached, your subscription is being used on more devices than it allows. Stop playback on another device, or use fewer screens in Multiscreen.
On Android: switch the player
If one stream will not play smoothly, open the player menu and tap Switch Player. Some streams work better with the other playback engine.
AREZTV is a media player only. It does not include any channels or content. You need the playlist or login details from your own IPTV provider.
Questions
Does AREZTV reconnect by itself?
Yes. When a stream drops, AREZTV reconnects automatically.
Why do only some channels buffer?
Each channel comes from your provider's servers, and some are busier than others. If only certain channels buffer while others play smoothly, the cause is usually on the provider side.
