How to log in with Xtream Codes
Xtream Codes is the most common way IPTV providers give access. You get a server URL, a username and a password, and AREZTV does the rest.
What you need
Your provider sends these when you subscribe. They are usually listed under "Portal Info" or similar in the welcome email or your account area.
- The server URL, for example http://example.com:8080
- Your username
- Your password
Log in on iPhone, iPad or Android
Open the Xtream Codes screen
On first launch, choose Xtream Codes. If you already have a playlist, go to Settings and tap + Add New Provider.
Enter your details
Fill in Server URL, Username and Password. A name is optional.
Test the connection
Tap Test Connection. AREZTV checks your login and shows your subscription details.
Save
Tap Save and Continue. Live TV, Movies and Series load from your provider.
Your subscription at a glance
After a successful test, AREZTV shows three details from your provider:
- Status: whether the subscription is active
- Expiry: the date it ends
- Connections: how many devices can watch at the same time
On Apple TV
Log in on your phone first, then scan the QR code shown by AREZTV on Apple TV. Your Xtream Codes login moves to the TV, so you never type the password with the remote. Read the pairing guide.
If the login fails
See playlist and playback errors for more.
- Authentication failed: Invalid credentials: check the username and password. They are case sensitive.
- URL is invalid or unreachable: check the server URL, including http:// or https:// and the port number after the colon.
- Expired: the subscription has ended. Renew it with your provider.
AREZTV is a media player only. It does not include any channels or content. You need the playlist or login details from your own IPTV provider.
Questions
Is Xtream Codes better than an M3U link?
With Xtream Codes, AREZTV also shows your subscription status, expiry and number of connections. If your M3U link contains a username and password, AREZTV usually recognizes it as Xtream Codes anyway.
Why does the server URL have a number at the end?
The number after the colon, such as :8080, is the port. Enter it exactly as your provider wrote it.
Does AREZTV store my password on its servers?
No. Your playlists and credentials stay on your device. When you pair a TV, your phone sends them to that TV.
